As member of VBIO (German Federation of Biosciences) and AWMF (Scientific Medical workgroups) DPG advises political decision-making and via FEPS and IUPS it furthers scientific exchange between physiologists and physiological societies in Europe and the US, focusing on the activities of the physiological societies and the organization of joint meetings.
