The program committee consists of 6 panels, whose presidency is re-elected every 3 years within the framework of the General Assembly of the DPG. Among other things, the program committee is responsible for the grading of submitted abstracts for the annual conference of the DPG. If, during this period, an international or joint meeting (e.g. Europhysiology or, as in Frankfurt, the joint meeting with the IUPS) takes place instead of a national DPG Annual Meeting, the three-year election cycle is postponed by one year accordingly.
